The author says women today are less happy than women in the 1970s based on a recent study. Referring to the study he writes: "I am not at all sure how to interpret this finding. It sounds like either the women's movement was a mistake or subjective happiness is not the right objective."
I couldn't help thinking of Jane Eyre as I read this. I need to do a lot more thinking before I can articulate my thoughts but it really has me thinking.
